My wife and I travel lots and when flying we like to watch movies and TV shows and listen to music. It's a real pain to have to use cabled speakers, especially when sitting in the cramped quarters on an airplane. This transmitter solves that problem because it operates using Bluetooth. Simply plug it into the airplane's audio output, pair it and you are ready to sit back and relax. The only thing you have to remember is to shut off the Bluetooth feature on your cell phone and your iPad to prevent the transmitter from connecting to them before it connects to the airplane's audio output. We both have earbuds and my wife also has Beats and a Musi-Cozy. They all work equally well with this transmitter. The sound is very good and they keep a charge for a long time. We recently flew from Calgary to Dubai and the transmitter used up all of its charge (I had forgotten to give it a complete charge at home before we left). This wasn't a big problem because I plugged in the power cord to charge the transmitter and it continued to work while it was charging. The transmitter is supplied with a double prong adapter, a charge cable and a small zippered storage bag to keep all the parts together. Amazon had lots of these transmitters for sale and some of them had lots of "bells and whistles". These transmitters were very basic units, they allow for two people to use them at the same time, they were reasonably priced, allowed us to get rid of audio cables and have been very dependable. Since last October we have travelled to the Balkans, Italy, Mexico, Dubai, India and Nepal and these transmitters have worked very well on all of the trips.
